While Henrick, Torinn, and Thom were trying to decide how to deal with the Gulthias tree in the courtyard of the woodland manse, an unfamiliar pair approached through the boar filled pumpkin patches in the South.
As the newcomer, Nee’que Kaj’j, approached the tree he noticed a number of twig blights standing in its shadow. Shouting warnings from an upper level window inside the manse, the trio inside launched attacks on the tree and then made their way outside as three of the boars attacked. The two groups worked together to defeat the twig blights and the boars, now in their true forms: anchorites of Talos.
The half orc, Nee’que Kaj’j, confirmed that he had witness an odd ceremony on a hill to the north so the party set out to investigate. After quietly dispatching an Orc patrol with the help of Hyacinth’s bardic magic, the group interrupted a pair of Talos cultists during a ritual.
By killing one of the cultists inside the cultist’s circle, the group inadvertently provided the sacrifice needed to summon Gorthok the Thunder Boar. A fierce battle ensued, ending with Nee’que’s mighty axe buried deep in Gorthok’s skull and the remaining anchorite of Talos dispatched after being incapacitated with a horrid fit of laughter.
Victorious, and armed with additional potions and weapons, the party returned to Falcon’s Hunting Lodge to determine their next course of action.
….And what about those dragon sightings ?
