In Thundertree, the party confronted Raidoth, who denied any involvement in evil activities. He warned the adventurers that Thundertree was crawling with blights and ash zombies, and now cultists and a young green dragon had moved in. He asked the group to help chase these new threats off.
Belomash, the half orc barbarian, convinced the party to let him negotiate with the dragon while they dealt with the cultists. After a brief battle, the cultists agreed to leave and Belomash returned with great news about the negotiations with the dragon. The dragon, Venomfang, agreed to leave Phandalin in peace if the party removed the old druid. It would seem that the Druid was the cause of all of the strangeness in Thundertree.
After some doubts and extensive interrogation of the druid, the group decided to confront Venomfang directly to get more information. On the way, to the old tower, a treant attacked, offended by the group’s rough treatment of the old man. Victorious, but weakened and conflicted (and maybe a little scared ?), the party returned to the druid and asked that he accompany them to Phandalin to get to the truth of the matter.
