You Goat a be Kidding Me
After their triumphant return to Phandlin, Krum shared with the group that he was on a mission from god to kill Drow up in Luskan and invited everyone to come along. Thom and Hyacenth found a local gnome, Pinchwit Wigglehoof, who offered them a boat ride north if they would help him get his goats over to the coastal town of Leilon where his cousin owned a fishing trawler. The group agreed as this would save weeks of travel time.
The journey to Leilon was more eventful than expected, with the party fighting off hungry ogres and wyverns. As they reached the High Road, they encountered a group of zombies trying to force their way into the Wayside Inn. They fought off the undead and discovered the mark of the death god Myrkul branded to the forehead of one of the few remaining zombies. The people inside celebrated the party’s help and the group settled in getting to know several workers and customers:
- Martisha Vinetalker, the owner of the inn, a striking half-elf whose pleasing features contrast with her tough demeanor.
- The bartender, Backes Dunfield, a human with a scarred face and a crooked smile.
- The cook, Cooragh Struckt, a half-orc who is famous for her incredibly tasty, and alarmingly well-spiced, stews and meat pies.
- The smith, Teega, who is a strapping young woman who wields a hammer in each hand.
- Tarbin Tul is a traveling bard who wanders the High Road.
- A young halfling named Silla Scalesweep.
Questions lingered for the group…
- Where did the zombies come from ?
- Was Leilon also in trouble ?
- Did they want to get involved in this mess or was this a distraction from Krum’s sworn vengeance ?
We went from killing dragons to herding goats. GOATS. I want to go kill a dragon. A green one.
PS. I hope nobody saw me running into that tree.

I’m glad for a place to rest for a few days…I really took a hit by that wraith! Good thing I found some cuddly goats to keep me warm while I hid…perhaps we can find some useful tools or information before beginning our journey to find Drow? Perhaps a potion to guard against running into trees? I think it’s really up to Krum to decide…
I wonder if Tabin the Bard can offer me any pointers on how to enchant my pan flute while we are here…..I hope I can at least get the cook’s recipe for the tasty meat pie (or maybe a few for the road?)…

Dumathoin’s hammer! Guess we’ll be putting off the boat ride a bit, then? Wights be pointing to bigger problems, at’s for sure.
And we all saw ye fall outta that tree, elf.
