The party makes preparation to summon Kazgaroth. They do some research, acquire magical items and survey a still corrupted moonwell southwest of Horst.
Long Synopsis
After looting the black dragon’s lair, the party preps for the Kazgaroth-apocalypse. They equip themselves with state-of-the-art equipment that will improve their chances at survival. In addition, they make sure to dry, cure and make use of Vorthax’s carcass.
The party also returns to the King to claim some more “survival gear” and also received land that will allow them to live off the grid in a fortified bunker in the land of Gwynneth.
Like all good preppers, they do research into the Kazgaroth-apocalypse. Based on their research, they discern the following:
• Bhaal is the Lord of Murder, the God of Violence and Ritualistic Killing.
• Bhaal has multiple aspects, including the Slayer (humanoid undead), the Ravager (giant monster with a tested face, beard and horns) and Kazgaroth (T-rex).
• There is some discussion about Bhaal and Kazgaroth being linked to the “original source” of lycanthropy.
• Kazgaroth is very powerful and resides in the Moonshae Isles (he is also the enemy the Earthmother).
• Kazgaroth is very evil and plots some sort of zombie apocalypse (apparently he can raise dead as undead servants).
• He can change into other creatures
• There are conflicting reports as to whether he has a deadly breath weapon.
• There is debate as to whether he is a fiend.
The party contacts the local druids who render some basic assistance.
There still remains a corrupted moonwell southwest of Horst, which will be the site of where they are thinking about summoning Kazgaroth.
